Peanuts will be the new theme for the 2016 ICE attraction, just one of the many activities offered during the Christmas at Gaylord Palms celebration. We rank ICE and Christmas at Gaylord Palms as one of the absolute best holiday events in the Orlando area, so we’re already getting excited for this year’s events!
During a recent Christmas in July media preview, we learned more about what new events will be featured during Christmas at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, November 18, 2016 – January 1, 2017.
Our video shows the big reveal – complete with Charlie Brown and Snoopy, Mrs. Claus and Snowflake!
ICE! featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulz will have ice sculptures of Snoopy’s decorated dog house, the Peanuts gang’s holiday play rehearsal, and Charlie Brown picking out the perfect Christmas tree. The iconic Peanuts Christmas images will be carved into more than 2 million pounds of ice kept at a steady 9 degrees.
Breakfast with Charlie Brown and Friends features a buffet and meet and greet with Peanuts characters such as Lucy and Charlie Brown. Peanuts-themed foods will be available on the buffet, such as Pig Pen’s Dirty Hashbrowns, Woodstock’s Granola, Lucy’s Flap Jacks, and Charlie Brown’s Build Your Own French Toast Station with Snoopy’s Maple Syrup.
Check out what a recent year’s ICE! looked like – and some helpful tips on how to prepared for the 9 degree weather.
Also new? Mrs. Claus’ Holiday Traditions – a storytime and sing along 30 minute interactive show, complete with milk and cookies.
Santa’s Snow Throw allows you to throw real snowballs – yes, even in Florida!
The old 54-foot Christmas tree has been retired to make way for an even bigger 60-foot LED lighted Christmas tree.
Cirque Dreams Unwrapped is back by popular demand for the second year. The unique show is created exclusively for Gaylord Palms. (Watch our video above for a dramatic preview of the finale act of this year’s show – and find out the magical theme!)
Elf of the Shelf Scavenger Hunt also returns, with special prizes available for those who spot every hiding location.
