Georgia’s newest unique accommodations are now available at Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg, GA. The new treehouse village will make it so guests can spend a vacation with their feet off the ground.

Overnight guests at Historic Banning Mills can branch out from traditional accommodations with the destination’s treehouse village, the only village of its type this side the Mississippi River. Set about 70 feet above the gorge setting and accessible only by rope and wood sky bridges, the seven treehouse rooms offer guests a Swiss Family Robinson type of stay, complete with a slight sway in the breeze and trees trunks bursting through the floorboards and out the ceiling.

“Our treehouse village is perfect for people looking for adventurous accommodations at our gravity-defying destination,” said Mike Holder, owner and founder of Historic Banning Mills. “We already encourage people to get their feet off the ground with our zip lines, climbing walls and aerial adventures, and we offer our treehouse rooms to guests who just don’t want to come back down to earth yet.”

Historic Banning Mills’ beautifully-decorated treehouse rooms each come with a king-sized bed, gas log fireplace and lots of windows. Also, just because guests are sleeping in a tree does not mean the accommodations are without modern perks as rooms include a microwave, small refrigerator, and a jetted tub for two, as well as a Keurig coffee machine. Attached to the back of the treehouse rooms are private decks with spectacular views of the surrounding forest and creek below. Two of the tree houses are two stories, which make for a perfect family or group accommodation option.

Tree house rooms are $209 the first night and $189 for each additional night double occupancy.  The price for each extra guest over two staying in the two-story tree house rooms is $30 nightly. The price includes a full country-style breakfast each morning of the stay.

Historic Banning Mills, located just 45 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, holds two Guinness World Records, including one for the World’s Longest Continuous Zip Line Course and Eco-canopy Adventure Tour and one for the World’s Tallest Freestanding Climbing Wall, standing at 140 feet.
