Anna Ruby Falls
One of the most famous waterfalls in Helen, Georgia is Anna Ruby Falls. It is a spectacular and rare twin waterfall located on land adjacent to Unicoi State Park.
Two creeks come together to create a 150-foot waterfall.
The .9 mile roundtrip hike to the falls is beautiful, too. Small waterfalls can be found along the rushing creek for a gorgeous walk filled with the sound of rushing water.
The trail to the waterfall is paved with a gentle incline. Along the way you will find interpretative plaques. At the waterfall there are two viewing platforms.
Located in a National Forest, access to Anna Ruby Falls requires an entrance fee of $5.

Dukes Creek Falls
This tall, 150-foot waterfall is located along Dukes Creek. Huge viewing platforms allow for stunning photography of the double waterfall that is created by the convergence of Dukes Creek and Davis Creek.
A private entrance to the trail can be accessed from Smithgall Woods Cottages.

Raven Cliff Falls
Another one of the most famous waterfalls in Helen, GA is Raven Cliff Falls.
A 2.5 mile trail brings you to a waterfall that flows through a 40-foot rock cliff.

DeSoto Falls
Legend has it that a piece of armor from DeSoto’s expedition in the mid-1500s was found at the waterfalls.
There are two waterfalls in this location, an upper falls and a lower falls. A moderately easy 2.2 mile hike offers great rewards for your efforts.
The trailhead begins from a paid parking area.

Horse Trough Falls
This waterfall is definitely one of the hardest to access, so it might not be high up on you list. It’s not on a lot of people’s lists, which makes it one of the least visited waterfalls.
Horse Trough Falls is found in the Upper Chattahoochee River Campground which is located in the Mark Twain Wilderness area, which is operated by the U.S. Forest Service.
The road to the campground is rough, rugged and needs to be driven very slowly, preferably in a 4WD vehicle.
An easy 0.4 mile roundtrip hike, the road to get to the campground is far more strenuous than the trail to the waterfall!
