If you have noticed a wrong date on your ticket before you leave for Universal Studios or need to change the date because your plans have changed, it is wise to change the date by calling Guest Services.

For Universal Studios Orlando tickets, call the Guest Communications Center Team at (407) 363-8000 and choose option 3.

For Universal Studios Hollywood tickets, call Guest Services at 1 (866) 258-6546.

How to Change the Date Via the Universal App

To change the date of your Universal Studios ticket via the app, you will need to create an account for the Universal Studios app.

Then you will need to add your ticket information into your profile.

Once in the app, you can follow the prompts for changing the date.

How to Change the Date When at the Theme Park

If you need to change the date of a Universal ticket and you are already at Universal Orlando Resort or Universal Studios Hollywood, you can visit Guest Services for assistance.

Be sure to visit guest services BEFORE you enter the theme parks if you need a date change! If you enter the theme park you will activate use of the ticket, even if you are only in the park for 15 minutes to go to Guest Services.

Changing the Date on Special Event Tickets

If you purchase a ticket for a special ticket event, such as Halloween Horror Nights, those tickets generally can’t be changed. You will need to use the ticket on the date that you paid for otherwise you forfeit the ticket.

Is There a Fee to Change the Date on a Universal Ticket?

While there isn’t a fee to change a date on Universal Studios tickets bought through Universal, there may be a change in ticket cost for the new date.

Universal is now offering date-based pricing, which means that some days will cost more than other days.

For instance, if you bought a single-day ticket for $109 for Universal Studios to visit in February, but want to change to a day over Christmas that is much more expensive, you will need to pay the difference in the ticket fees for the higher-priced date.

However, if you change the date to a day that is the same ticket price or lower, you will not need to pay any extra costs.

Can I Cancel My Universal Ticket?

If you are unable to change the date on your Universal Studios ticket for any reason, you may be wondering if it is easier to cancel your ticket and get a refund, instead.

Universal Studios tickets are usually non-refundable.

Here is Universal Studios Orlando official policy on cancelling tickets:

Unexpired single-day tickets that have already been purchased will be valid on any day for 365 days from the purchase date. Unexpired multi-day tickets that have already been purchased will also be valid for first use on any day from 365 days from purchase – but, as always, must be used within seven days of first use. Florida Resident discounted ticket usage windows and blockout dates remain unchanged unless otherwise communicated. If you cannot travel during this time, you can apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward a new purchase.

Universal Orlando Tickets and Packages Policies

Universal Studios tickets are non-refundable unless they are bought as part of a vacation package. Refunds for tickets bought as part of a vacation package will be established as part of the refund policies for that package.

While you usually cannot receive a refund for Universal Studios tickets, the tickets can be used at a later date within a 365-day time frame or applied to another ticket purchase. These are all things that you will need to talk with an official representative at Universal Studios about.
