Universal Studios theme parks can be found around the globe. When deciding to visit one of these amusement parks, it helps to know how many Universal Studios are there to choose from.

How Many Parks Does Universal Studios Have?
There are five Universal Studios locations around the world where you can visit Universal Studios theme parks. All of these destinations are owned by the same company.
The locations include:
- Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida
- Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, California
- Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Japan
- Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa, Singapore
- Universal Beijing Resort in Beijing, China
Former Universal Studios Parks
There is one Universal Studios theme park that was open and has closed down.
Universal Mediterranea was located at Port Adventura World in Salou, Spain. It was open from 2002-2004.
What are the Parks at Universal Studios Orlando?
The Universal Orlando Resort is a complex made up of three theme parks, as well as Universal Citywalk Orlando and 8 Universal hotels.
The three parks at Universal Studios Orlando include:
- Universal Studios Florida
- Islands of Adventure
- Volcano Bay Waterpark
There is some debate as to whether Universal Studios Orlando has two theme parks or three theme parks.
Universal Orlando Resort states that they have three theme parks, which includes Volcano Bay. Many visitors do not consider a water park the same as a theme park, though. Therefore, many visitors say that Universal Orlando has two theme parks.
The two-park ticket options that include entrance to both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure seem to confirm the belief that there are really only two theme parks at Universal Orlando, with an additional water park at Volcano Bay.
Soon, there will officially be three theme parks at Universal Orlando when Epic Universe opens in 2025.
Universal Orlando Resort is the largest of any of the Universal Parks properties.

How Many Parks Are at Universal Studios Hollywood?
There is only one park at Universal Studios Hollywood. The theme park has some of the attractions that other Universal Parks have, such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Jurassic World.
Universal Studios Hollywood is the only U.S. location of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD until the same land opens at Universal Orlando in 2025.
The behind-the-scenes Studio Tour is unique to the Hollywood location and is not found at the Orlando theme parks.
Universal Studios Hollywood is the oldest Universal theme park, opening in 1964.

How Many Universal Studios Are There in the U.S.?
There are currently two Universal Studios theme park locations in the United States. They are located in:
- Orlando, Florida
- Universal City, California
In January 2023, Universal Parks announced the creation of two more theme park concepts in the U.S. These will be located in Frisco, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada once they are built.
There is only one theme park at Universal Studios Japan. It opened in 2001 and has a Harry Potter world as well as a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
This location was the first Universal Studios to open outside of the United States.
How Many Parks Are at Universal Studios Singapore?
Universal Studios Singapore has one theme park. It is located at Sentosa, which is an island resort getaway in Southeast Asia.
There is no Harry Potter world at Universal Studios Singapore, the only Universal Parks location to not have the franchise.
Sentosa has a wide array of amusements and activities on the 500-hectare island resort. There is plenty to do at the location beyond the Universal Studios theme park.
How Many Parks Are at Universal Studios Beijing?
There is one park at Universal Studios Beijing, in addition to Universal CityWalk and two hotels.
The newest Universal Studios theme park opened in September 2021. It is the fourth location of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and has the first themed lands for Kung Fu Panda, Waterworld and Transformers.
Universal Studios Beijing has the largest Minions land among all of the Universal Studios parks worldwide.
