19 Orlando Hotels with a Lazy River

Some of the best resorts in central Florida have amazing water parks with lazy rivers. It’s like getting a free admission to a water park when you stay at these hotels!

When paying to stay at these resorts and hotels, make sure you allow enough time to use the amenities. Don’t schedule every day with a theme park! Have at least a day or two with no plans so you can enjoy the lazy rivers and pools to get the most for your money!

If you are avoiding the crowds at Orlando’s theme parks by going early in the morning and at night, it’s nice to be able to come back to the hotel and spend a few hours in the lazy river to rest and rejuvenate.

These hotels and resorts make great staycations for central Florida residents, too!

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace

If you want a lazy river, budget-friendly rates and at Walt Disney World, you literally can’t beat Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace.

We stayed at this Hilton hotel at Disney Springs and had the most amazing time! Check out our room tour and our lazy river tour in our YouTube video below:

We were absolutely thrilled with this resort for many reasons. The pool, lazy river and poolside bar were really great for relaxing.

Plus, they allow you to enjoy alcoholic drinks from the nearby pool bar while floating in the lazy river.

When we wanted something more to do than just float in the pool, we walked to Disney Springs which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

The ease and convenience of being able to walk to Disney Springs, rather than taking transportation, makes this resort a winner in our book! From Disney Springs, you can catch official Walt Disney World Resort Transportation if you need to get to the theme parks or Disney resorts.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

We have long said that the water park at Four Seasons Orlando is reason enough to stay there! One of the most impressive aquatic areas at any hotel in all of Orlando, Explorer Island has more than enough to keep you and your family entertained all day long.

A long and winding lazy river is one of the most popular ways to enjoy Explorer Island.

The 7,590-square foot pool has a gradual entry, perfect for small kids and those that like to wade in the water. Overlooking the lake behind Four Seasons, this is one of the most picturesque pools in central Florida.

An underwater audio system lets you listen to music while having fun in the sun!

In addition to the lazy river and pool, you will find a Splash Zone perfect for kids, water slides and The Mansion, where you can have fun playing games out of the water.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Located within walking distance to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme parks, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of our favorite places to stay. The location is great, the resort is beautiful and you can also easily stroll the Boardwalk for even more entertainment throughout the day.

The lazy river at this Disney property is part of Stormalong Bay, a 3-acre aquatic play area reserved only for Disney Beach Club and Disney Yacht Club guests.

Stormalong Bay is one of the most sought-after pool areas at Walt Disney World. The sand-bottom pool makes you feel like you are at the beach.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Located directly beside Disney’s Beach Club Resort is Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Both hotels have a nautical theme, however the Yacht Club has a more elegant nautical styling, while Disney’s Beach Club Resort has a more playful, beach-side theme.

Both resorts share access to Stormalong Bay, with a lazy river as part of the 3-acres of water activities. You will find one of the highest hotel slides at Disney World here, with a 230-foot long waterslide.

The life-sized shipwreck replica dominates Stormalong Bay, both visually and with how much space it takes up. Rest assured, you’ll spend your days dreaming of being shipwrecked on a deserted island as you lazily float in an inner tube on the lazy river here.

Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Absolutely one of our favorite Orlando resorts! Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is budget-friendly yet one of the best themed resorts, in our opinion.

universal cabana bay resort

The lazy river here is so much fun, as well as the two pools at the hotel. Plus, you can walk to Universal Studios theme parks from this resort, since it is an official Universal Orlando Hotel.

And it’s right beside Volcano Bay water park, too, if you want even more fun in the sun.

See our full review of Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort to see all of the details such as the rooms, the food, the restaurants and all of the pools!

You need to pay for tube rentals at Cabana Bay Resort’s lazy river. We suggest bringing your own tube to save money.

Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate

The Omni Orlando is one of our favorite resorts in central Florida. We’ve stayed there and had an amazing time! It is really a hidden gem!

Their 850-foot lazy river has tunnels, rapids and hidden canyons. Tubes on this lazy river go at speeds of up to 8 mph along the course!

The Omni Orlando Resort’s water park has a variety of fun activities, too. Orlando’s ONLY resort with a wave pool, you can try to catch a wave on 131,000 gallons of water!

The family pool has a zero-entry, perfect for gently wading in. You will also find the 125-foot corkscrew waterslide in this pool.

There is also a kid’s pool with waterslides, an adults-only pool and private cabanas.

If you want to see what the rooms look like, check out our Omni Orlando Resort room tour video:

This central Florida resort is fabulous, with a golf course and amazing fine dining, as well. We LOVE the Omni Resort Trevis breakfast!

However, this resort is located on the way towards Tampa, just past Walt Disney World on I-4. It’s not far from Disney, but you want to keep traffic in mind because rush hour traffic can cause a decent drive to get to Disney. We wouldn’t recommend this location if you are spending most of your time at Universal Studios or Sea World because of the distance away.

The lazy river at Hilton Bonnet Creek is among the best in Orlando. The pool and waterpark area at this resort is literally one of the central features of the hotel.

Enjoy a zero-entry pool, as well as water slides, in a lush tropical oasis. You will also find poolside cabanas and casual dining, too.

Guests at Waldorf Astoria Orlando can use the lazy river and water park at Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. These two resorts are located side by side with a shared lazy river.

Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek

Located off the same road as Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, this location is located between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs, with incredibly easy access onto the highway from Disney property.

While the Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria are connected side by side, Club Wyndham is across the road and has separate facilities. If you like this location but not high prices, then the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek is for you.

This multi-building, lake-front resort complex is huge! All of the rooms will be condo-style suites, which means you have lots of room and can even cook your own meals in your fully stocked kitchen. Choose from one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom suites, all with private balconies!

There are five pools here, as well as two lazy rivers! You will find lots of water activities, including water slides (48″ height requirement), splash zones, hot tubs and cabanas to rent.

The shipwreck at the Kids Pool looks a lot like the ship area at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club pool.

You will get the feeling of staying in a small village or city at this location. It is so big, and there are so many amenities to choose!

Hilton Orlando, Destination Parkway

The waterpark and pools at this Hilton property are some of the best in Orlando!

The 892-foot long lazy river is surrounded by waterfalls, fountains and water cannons. You will get complimentary use of tubes with your resort fee.

Two pools are also located at the Hilton Orlando, including a quiet pool. There is also a Splash Pad for young children, as well as cabana rentals.

This property is located close to SeaWorld and Universal Studios area, however it is not a far drive from Walt Disney World.

JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

One of the premier hotels in Orlando, the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes has an awesome lazy river and water play area for guests.

Located off of John Young Parkway, this is a location that is close to SeaWorld and Universal Studios. Though it is not too far of a drive to Walt Disney World.

When you stay at the JW Marriott, you will be able to use the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes pool which is located next door. It is a short walk outdoors by the lake, or walk indoors through the conference area.

Ritz Carlton Orlando

The Ritz does not have a lazy river and the pool area is a bit more tranquil than at the JW Marriott. However, as a Ritz Carlton guest, you have access to the JW Marriott lazy river.

Fantasy World Resort

If you are more interested in staying in a villa or townhome rather than a hotel, then Fantasy World Resort is for you. At Fantasy World Resort, you will have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and plenty of room for 6 people.

The waterpark at this resort has two 3-story slides and a huge pool. You will find a lazy river, as well as plenty of kid’s activities to keep them entertained by the pool all day.

Flamingo Waterpark Resort

Located in Kissimmee, this resort was built with the waterpark in mind! At Flamingo Waterpark Resort, you will find family-friendly rooms and easy access to a fun water play area.

A resort fee with your hotel room gives four waterpark passes, access to the outdoor pool, movie nights and more.

The waterpark is only available to hotel guests. It has 3 water slides, lazy river, zero-depth kids pool, and a 30-foot tower for a refreshing plunge in the Florida heat!

*As of June 2022, the waterpark is only open certain days of the week. Be sure to check availability.

This resort is closer to Kissimmee attractions such as Silver Spurs Rodeo, so be sure to check the location before booking if you plan on driving to the theme parks each day.

The Grove Resort and Waterpark Orlando

When a resort has the word ‘waterpark’ in its name, you know that there is going to be a lazy river, right?!?

There is so much to do at The Grove Resort and Waterpark Orlando! The Surfari Waterpark has a variety of activities, including:

  • 695-foot lazy river
  • Flowrider
  • Two waterslides
  • Kid’s activity pool
  • Zero-entry pool
  • Premium Poolside Seating (extra fee)
  • Cabanas to rent

The resort offers 2- and 3-bedroom suites, along with three full size pools.

Liki Tiki Village

At Liki Tiki Village, you will find 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos. The waterpark area is one of the highlights of the resort.

The lazy river here isn’t the same as what you might find at other locations. You can certainly float on the current, but it’s more of a large pool area that you are floating through, so there will be people splashing and swimming.

This property is located in Winter Garden, which is on the side of Orlando near Disney’s Animal Kingdom and on the way towards Tampa area.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

There is so much to do at Orange Lake Resort! Including a variety of pool areas.

At the River Island Pool Complex, there is a 1,200-foot lazy river that connects to a pool on either side.

The River Island Pool Complex also has a zero-entry pool, two hot tubs, and waterslides (with a 48″ height requirement).

Splash Lagoon Pool Complex has a kid’s wading pool, as well as a pool for older kids and adults, along with a waterslide and water-play fountain. Water’s Edge Beach Club is yet another place to have fun in the sun, too!

Keep in mind, you must pay for tube rentals at Orange Lake Resort, at a cost of $9 a day. It’s best to buy some inflatable tubes online and bring them with you to save money.

Miniature golf, an Arnold Palmer Signature Course for adult’s golf, and a kid’s adventure club are some of the other amenities you will find at this location. Holiday Inn Club Vacations is a timeshare, and you can score great deals staying here if you attend a two-hour timeshare presentation.

Reunion Resort and Golf Club

We have really loved staying at Reunion Resort, as well as all of their fine dining. We stayed in a rental home with a private pool and it was amazing!

Reunion has both rental homes, as well as condos to rent in the main tower. It can get a little confusing trying to book here, from our experience, but it is a great place to stay!

Check out some of our room tours at Reunion resort:

There are different ways to stay at Reunion, and to use their amenities, so be sure to confirm what amenities you will receive when booking here, and any fees there might be.

For instance, there is an on-site 5-acre water park. However, if you are an Encore guest, you won’t be able to use the facilities mentioned here. You would have your own water park at Encore.

Reunion’s lazy river is 1,000-feet long and about 3-feet deep, passing by a waterfall while you are lazily floating. Tube rental is complimentary.

There is a water playground with water cannons, water spray areas, a huge water bucket that dumps on top of you and rope bridges, too. You will also find a waterslide, kids splash zone, cabanas for rent and outdoor games nearby.

Reunion Resort is located on the other side of Disney World, near Disney’s Animal Kingdom, on the way towards Tampa. It is not as far out as Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate. In fact, if you use GPS and take some backroads to get to Disney it’s not too far at all.

Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa

Unlike all of the other water parks on this list, the Treasure Cove Water Park at Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa is not included in the room cost for most guests. You will need to pay a separate admission to access the water park.

Treasure Cove Water Park has Castaway Creek Lazy River, as well as a 41,000 gallon wave pool and 30-foot waterslides. Admission is $20, unless you are a Westgate property owner, then the cost is reduced or complimentary.
